An Unfinished Masterpiece

Ephesians 2: 10  For we are God’s MASTERPIECE.

Philippians 1: 6  And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is FINALLY FINISHED on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Am I the only one that feels like a mess, or you too?  Doesn’t it seem sometimes that the more we try to get it together, the less together we are?  We hear people say that they are a work in progress – how true that is!  But I have noticed recently how in God’s economy, He sees us both as we are now & how we will turn out – all at the same time.  And He sees a MASTERPIECE.

This is beyond my understanding, but I love it.  I’m a MASTERPIECE and so are you.

Think of it this way. . .our lives are full of super dark moments – as well as – super bright, beautiful moments.  The MASTERPIECE appears as the Master Weaver works the colors together to make a tapestry – a MASTERPIECE God is making for His pleasure.

So – when you feel like you are getting lost in the process, thinking there’s no way anything beautiful could come out of your mess, remember that you’re UNFINISHED !!   It’s just like lyrics from the song by that name by Mandisa…..

But I picked myself back up – And I started telling me – No, my God’s not done making me a MASTERPIECE.  He’s still working on me…………..His work in me ain’t through – I’m just UNFINISHED.
