Hi! My name is Debbie Mead.
Straight out of the gate let me tell you what I’m not.
~~a bible scholar ~~a biblical/spiritual authority ~~never went to seminary ~~on staff at a church ~~connected with any particular ministry
Here’s what I am.
~~Mom, Grandma ~~woman of faith 50+years ~~women’s ministry 25 years ~~in love with God and His Word ~~widow ~~on the Christian journey like all believers
This blog? Not my idea. It’s actually something my dear son, Rick, suggested. We were chatting about what God was doing in my life. When I told him I had been writing down “coffee & Jesus” thoughts for a couple years, he said, “Mom, you need to have a devotional blog.” So here I am.
My heart in this deal simply wants to share what God is showing me. You will see flaws, cracks in my clay pot, struggles and insight into loss and it’s devastation as well as triumphant steps forward. But above all – and most importantly – I hope you see how God truly is the answer to all of it. We are never expected to walk life perfectly. We ARE expected to look to the One who is perfect.
So welcome to my devo blog. I know not everyone will agree with my thoughts. That’s OK. Please be kind in your comments and realize what I post isn’t gospel. Ultimately I want you to dig into God’s Word yourself. Let Him speak to you where you are right now.
